Leads CRM Released for iPhone

Pretty Cool Software has announced the release of Leads 1.0, a new iPhone application to help users track conversations and manage relationships. The app provides automatic follow-up reminders based on due dates and includes organizational features such as contact groups and tagging along with search to help find people and past conversations. Leads is designed for users who have recurring contacts but don't want the overhead of traditional CRM software.

Leads is a CRM application which takes the approach of allowing users to customize their workflow by giving them simple ways to organize their data. One of those ways is by grouping related contacts, which could for example be the name of a project or company. The other is by creating and assigning tags to items within the application and allowing users to search for people and conversations based on those tags.

Users can log a new conversation from almost anywhere within the app, and can select a contact directly from their address book with whom to assign it. Conversations can be given a follow-up date which once expired will cause it to appear in Leads "Past Due" list. Users can also view upcoming open follow-ups from within this list. Once a user has collected data in Leads the entire database of conversations can be exported through email as a CSV file which can then be easily imported into a spreadsheet or database such as Numbers, Excel, or Bento.


Leads offers a solution for users who may not be accustomed to a full CRM application, but who need to keep on top of recurring contacts. The application aims to be useful for both casual and professional users by allowing them to create their own workflow which can be as simple or complex as their needs demand.
