Pre-orders for Apple's new iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are now live, and carriers in the United States are offering aggressive trade-in promotions worth up to $1,100.

AT&T

• iPhone 17 & iPhone 17 Pro: Free with eligible trade-in
• iPhone Air: Up to $830 off with eligible trade-in
• iPhone 17 Pro Max: Up to $1,100 off with eligible trade-in

AT&T's promotion applies to new and existing customers on eligible unlimited plans. The carrier accepts iPhone 13 and newer (excluding iPhone 13 mini) in any condition, as well as select Android and Google smartphones. Customers switching from another carrier may also qualify for up to $800 per line in bill credits.

Verizon

• Bundle offer: Buy an iPhone 17 Pro and get an Apple Watch SE 3 or Series 11 free, or $500 off Apple Watch Ultra 3

Verizon's promo spans 36 months and requires select device trade-ins from Apple, Google, Motorola, or Samsung.

T-Mobile is offering similar terms to AT&T, with trades accepted in any condition on eligible unlimited plans. Bill credits are applied over 24 months. Customers can also get $200 off a new Apple Watch when adding a watch line.
