Apple's fall product plans extend well beyond the new iPhones, with a slate of hardware updates expected for the remainder of 2025 and into early 2026, according to Mark Gurman. The roadmap reportedly includes an M5-powered iPad Pro, a second-generation AirTag, a faster Vision Pro, and several new Macs.
An iPad Pro with an M5 chip is reportedly set to launch as early as this October. In addition to the faster processor, the new model is said to add a second front-facing camera on the portrait side, which would complement the existing landscape camera and improve the experience for Face ID and FaceTime calls. The report aligns with previous rumors that Apple was preparing an M5 iPad Pro with dual front cameras.
The Vision Pro is also in line for an update with a faster processor and a new headband. The report notes this is not a true "Vision Pro 2," with a more substantially redesigned model that's thinner and lighter not expected until 2027. This timeline is consistent with a previously leaked roadmap for Apple's head-mounted devices. Also on the way is a second-generation AirTag, which will reportedly feature an upgraded wireless chip for improved range and accuracy.
The Apple TV and HomePod mini are also due for new hardware. Both are expected to gain faster processors to support the revamped Siri coming in 2026, as well as Apple's new in-house Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip that also supports the Thread networking protocol. Apple has also reportedly tested new color options for the HomePod mini.
Looking ahead to early 2026, Apple is planning to release M5-powered versions of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The report suggests the MacBook Pro launch could be a shift from Apple's typical fall window, and it aligns with earlier reports that M5 Macs were on track for an early 2026 release. Apple is said to be working on two new external Mac monitors, with at least one expected in late 2025 or early 2026.
Finally, the report points to a quick follow-up for Apple's budget-friendly iPhone. The iPhone 17e is said to be coming in the first half of next year and will feature the same A19 chip as the standard iPhone 17. The company's long-delayed smart home hub may also finally arrive this coming spring, bringing the next-generation Siri with it. Originally planned for this past March, the device's release has been repeatedly postponed due to its reliance on those advanced Siri features.
