Apple's fall product plans stretch beyond the iPhone and Apple Watch. According to Bloomberg, Apple is readying an M5-powered iPad Pro with a second front-facing camera, plus updates to AirTag, Vision Pro, Apple TV, and HomePod mini.
The new iPad Pro could arrive later this year with Apple's M5 chip. Beyond the faster processor, the biggest change may be a second front-facing camera on the portrait side. That would complement the current landscape camera, making FaceTime and Face ID work better no matter how the iPad is held.
Vision Pro is in line for its first hardware refresh since launching in February 2024. Apple is testing versions with an M4 or M5 chip and has considered a space black option. Otherwise, the update looks light. Sales have been slow, and Apple's bigger push is toward a cheaper headset and eventual smart glasses.
AirTag is finally set for a refresh. The tracker, first released in 2021, will get a new wireless chip designed to improve accuracy and extend range.
Apple TV and HomePod mini are also due for new hardware. Apple TV, last updated in 2022, will gain a faster processor to support Apple Intelligence features like the revamped Siri coming in 2026. The HomePod mini will also get a new chip, plus a fresh ultra-wideband radio, better audio, and possibly new colors such as red. Both devices are expected to be among the first with Apple's in-house Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip.
