Clicks Technology is expanding beyond fitted iPhone cases with two new hardware releases that bet big on physical buttons. The company today unveiled the Clicks Communicator, a standalone smartphone built for messaging, and the Clicks Power Keyboard, a universal magnetic accessory compatible with MagSafe and Qi2 devices that adds a tactile keyboard and extra battery life to almost any phone.
The Communicator isn't trying to replace your main device. Instead, Clicks designed it as a companion for the "two-phone" user who wants to separate communication from the distractions of a 6.7-inch screen. It runs Android 16 on a compact 4.03-inch AMOLED display, positioned above a full physical keyboard. Under the hood, it packs a 4,000 mAh battery, 256GB of storage with microSD expansion, and even brings back the headphone jack. The interface uses a custom version of Niagara Launcher to put chats front and center, while a hardware "Prompt Key" on the side handles voice dictation and acts as a color-coded notification light.
For those who want keys without carrying a second phone, the new Power Keyboard takes a different approach than the company's previous model-specific cases. This is a standalone Bluetooth unit that snaps onto the back of an iPhone or other Qi2-compatible device using magnets. It features a sliding mechanism to fit various phone sizes and can be rotated for landscape typing. It also addresses the battery drain common with Bluetooth accessories by including its own 2,150 mAh battery, which can wirelessly charge the attached phone while you type.
Clicks sees the Power Keyboard as more than just a phone accessory. Since it isn't permanently attached, it can pair with an iPad for a portable typing setup, connect to a smart TV to replace frustrating on-screen remotes, or provide tactile input for Vision Pro users. It supports multi-device pairing, letting users switch contexts with a quick keyboard shortcut.
The Clicks Communicator will retail for $499, with a limited-time reservation price of $399 and shipping expected later this year. The Clicks Power Keyboard is priced at $109, with early pre-orders available for $79, and is scheduled to ship this spring.
