I am using a jailbroken iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1, but the Cydia icon has disappeared from my home screen. The device is not factory unlocked and currently uses a turbo SIM.

If Cydia is missing from your jailbroken iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1, you can often restore it by re-running the jailbreak tool used to jailbreak the device, such as evasi0n. Before doing that, try typing cydia:// into the Safari address bar to see if the application launches. If it does, you may just need to refresh your icon cache or check if it was moved into a folder. Since your phone is not factory unlocked and relies on a turbo SIM, avoid using the Reset All Contents and Settings option in your settings menu, as this can lead to a boot loop on jailbroken devices. If you need to restore the firmware, ensure you have a way to re-activate the device without a factory SIM.
