I have an iPhone 5 and am looking for a way to jailbreak iOS 6.1.4. Is there an untethered jailbreak utility available for this firmware version?

Yes, you can jailbreak iOS 6.1.4 on the iPhone 5 using the p0sixspwn tool. While a jailbreak was not available when this firmware first launched, the p0sixspwn utility was later released to provide a standalone untethered jailbreak for devices running iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, 6.1.5, and 6.1.6. To jailbreak your device, download the p0sixspwn tool for your computer, connect your iPhone via USB, and follow the instructions. It is recommended to back up your data and disable your passcode before you begin the process.

While it was true at launch that no jailbreak existed for iOS 6.1.4, the p0sixspwn tool was eventually released to provide an untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 5 on this firmware. You can find firmware downloads and jailbreak guides on iClarified to help you with the process. Always be careful to use official tools and avoid any websites that ask for money, as those are scams targeting users looking for jailbreaks.
