I am trying to downgrade my iPhone 4S from iOS 6 back to iOS 5.1.1 using iTunes, but I am receiving error 3194. I do not have SHSH blobs saved for the previous firmware version. Is there a way to complete this restore?

Downgrading an iPhone 4S from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 is generally not possible if you do not have saved SHSH blobs for that specific device. Error 3194 occurs because iTunes must verify the firmware with Apple's servers before installation, and Apple stopped signing iOS 5.1.1 for the iPhone 4S years ago. Unlike the iPhone 4, which has a bootrom exploit that allows for some flexibility, the A5 chip in the iPhone 4S requires valid digital signatures (blobs) for the firmware you are trying to install. Without these blobs, iTunes will continue to return error 3194. There is currently no bypass available for this hardware and software combination that does not involve saved signatures.
