How can I upgrade my iPhone to iOS 7 without being a developer?

Is there a way to install the iOS 7 firmware on a compatible iPhone without having a registered Apple Developer account?

Now that iOS 7 has been released to the public, you can upgrade any compatible iPhone without a developer account by going to Settings, then General, and selecting Software Update. Alternatively, you can connect your device to a computer and use iTunes or Finder to perform the update. During the beta period, developer accounts were required to activate the software, but this restriction no longer applies to the final public versions of the operating system.
