I read on the Dev-Team blog that I should back up my SHSH blobs before upgrading to iOS 6. How do I do this?

To back up your SHSH blobs, you can use a utility like TinyUmbrella or the built-in features of Cydia. TinyUmbrella allows you to save these signature files locally to your computer. Simply connect your device, launch the application, and select the option to save your SHSH. If your device is jailbroken, Cydia often automatically saves these blobs to its servers for you. For newer versions of iOS, tools like blobsaver are currently recommended. Backing up SHSH blobs is essential if you ever want to downgrade or restore to a firmware version that is no longer being signed by Apple.

You can use TinyUmbrella to save SHSH blobs locally to your computer. Alternatively, if your device is jailbroken, you can search Cydia for tools like SHShit which allow you to backup and email the blobs to yourself.
