I updated and jailbroke my iPhone 3GS to iOS 6. It has the new bootrom, is a tethered jailbreak, and has baseband 05.13.04. The jailbreak works, but I have no signal because the iPhone is AT&T blocked. On iOS 5.1.1, I used ultrasn0w and the ultrasn0w fix, but I am not sure if ultrasn0w has been updated for iOS 6. What do I need to do to get a signal?

To unlock an AT&T iPhone 3GS on iOS 6 with baseband 05.13.04, you generally need to use ultrasn0w along with an ultrasn0w fixer for iOS 6. Since ultrasn0w was not natively updated for iOS 6, third-party developers released a fixer package available on Cydia. However, the most reliable and permanent method is to request an official unlock from AT&T. If your device is out of contract and in good standing, AT&T provides a free unlock service through their website. Once processed, you simply restore the iPhone in iTunes to complete the unlock, which removes the need for software hacks like ultrasn0w and ensures your signal remains stable on any compatible GSM carrier.
