IPhone 5 iTunes Restore Error 3 when restoring iOS 7.0.6

Hi everyone, I was having cellular issues on my factory unlocked iPhone 5 running on iOS 7.0.6 OTA update. So I thought restoring would solve the issue. I updated my iTunes to the latest version before I started the restore process. When I hit the restore button, iTunes downloaded the iOS 7.0.6 firmware and then the restore process started. Everything went smooth and at the end, I must say at 99% the restore process got stuck and iTunes popped up the error message 3. I tried uninstalling, re-installing, rebooting, removing stuff from the hosts file and also tried on a fresh installed windows pc as well but I'm receiving the same error message. Tried looking everywhere but could not find a fix. It this an issue with iOS 7.0.6 ? I've added screenshots and log files on this page. Please don't consider this as a spam. As this is a genuine issue that I'm facing

I found a not standard, non official solution on the apple forum:
put your i-device in a freezer for 40 minutes (best in a freezerbag and a handful of rice to prevent from condence) and restore it directly from the freezer. I tested and it works in my iPad, that had the same problem.
