In-Call Functions Don't Appear on iPhone

I recently jailbroke my iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1. I've noticed that when making or receiving calls, the usual in-call UI buttons like speaker, keypad, and hang up do not appear. Instead, it displays the home screen with a green bar at the top saying return to call. I have applied the Genesis icons theme through Winterboard. How can I fix this?

This issue is usually caused by a conflict with a jailbreak tweak or a theme that is not fully compatible with your iOS version. Since you are using Winterboard, start by disabling the Genesis icons theme to see if the buttons return. If that does not help, try booting your iPhone into Safe Mode. To do this, restart your phone and hold the Volume Up button while it boots. In Safe Mode, all jailbreak tweaks are disabled. If the call functions appear correctly, then a recently installed tweak is causing the problem. You should go into Cydia and uninstall your most recent tweaks, starting with Winterboard, until the issue is resolved.
