The jailbreak for iOS 7.1 through iOS 7.1.2 was released by the Pangu team on June 23, 2014. Known as Pangu7, this was an untethered jailbreak that supported all devices capable of running the firmware, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad Air, and iPad mini with Retina display. The release was significant as it was the first major utility from the Pangu hacking group and ended a period of several months where no public jailbreak was available for newer iOS 7 firmware versions.
