I am receiving a 'missingkeys .plist for this build' error while trying to perform a tethered jailbreak on an iPhone 4 (Verizon) running iOS 6.0.1 using Redsn0w. Does this error mean my Windows computer is too old to complete the process, or is it a software issue?

The missingkeys.plist error occurs because Redsn0w does not natively recognize the iOS 6.0.1 firmware. To fix this, you need to manually point Redsn0w to the iOS 6.0 firmware file. Download the iOS 6.0 IPSW for your specific iPhone 4 model. Open Redsn0w, click Extras, and then click Select IPSW. Select the iOS 6.0 firmware file you just downloaded. Once Redsn0w successfully identifies the build, go back to the main menu and click Jailbreak to proceed. Your older Windows computer should be capable of finishing the jailbreak once the correct IPSW is selected.

To resolve the missingkeys.plist error, you must point Redsn0w toward the iOS 6.0 IPSW instead of the iOS 6.0.1 file. Go to Extras, then Select IPSW, and choose the 6.0 firmware before starting the jailbreak process.
