I am attempting to restore my device using Redsn0w and my backed up SHSH blobs. However, when I select the iOS 5.1.1 IPSW, I get an error stating that the IPSW is for iPhone 4,1 but an iPhone 3,1 is connected. How do I resolve this mismatch?

The error occurs because you are selecting a firmware file intended for a different iPhone model. The identifier iPhone 3,1 refers to the GSM iPhone 4, while iPhone 4,1 refers to the iPhone 4S. Because Redsn0w needs the specific firmware designed for your hardware to proceed with a restore using SHSH blobs, you must download the correct version. Please ensure you download the iOS 5.1.1 IPSW specifically for the iPhone 4 GSM from the iClarified download pages and try the process again.
