I am upgrading from a jailbroken iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 to a new iPhone 5. How can I transfer my jailbroken apps and data from the old phone to the new device?

When moving from a jailbroken iPhone 4S to a new iPhone 5, you cannot directly transfer jailbreak apps or Cydia tweaks. Jailbreak software relies on root access that is not present on a standard, non-jailbroken iPhone 5.
If you back up your iPhone 4S and restore that backup onto your iPhone 5, your standard data like photos, contacts, and official App Store apps will transfer over successfully. However, the jailbroken apps and settings will be excluded. You must wait for a jailbreak utility to be released for the iPhone 5 before you can reinstall your jailbreak content. Once the new device is jailbroken, you will need to manually download and install your tweaks again from Cydia.
