I recently jailbroke my iPhone 5 on iOS 8.1 using Pangu. The phone died due to low battery, and now it is stuck on the Apple logo after charging. I have tried a hard reset, but the screen stays lit and black. I want to avoid restoring via iTunes if possible to keep my jailbreak.

To resolve a boot loop or a device stuck on the Apple logo after a Pangu jailbreak, you should first attempt to boot into No-Substrate Mode. This disables all jailbreak tweaks and allows the phone to boot normally if a software conflict is the cause. To do this, hold down both the Home and Power buttons until the device restarts. As soon as the Apple logo appears, hold down the Volume Up button until the phone reaches the lock screen. Once booted, you can open Cydia and uninstall any recently added tweaks that might be causing the issue. If the screen remains black but lit, ensure the device is actually off before trying the button combination again. If No-Substrate Mode fails, you may need to use a computer to perform a restore, though this will result in the loss of your jailbreak.
