I have an iPhone 4 with a tethered jailbreak on iOS 6.0.1. I need to reboot my device and get my jailbroken apps working again, but I am unsure which software to use or the exact steps to perform a tethered boot. Which download is required for modem firmware 04.12.02 and what are the steps to follow?

To perform a tethered boot on an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1, you should use Redsn0w 0.9.15b3. Because the iPhone 4 uses the A4 chip, you can use the Just Boot feature to restart your device into a jailbroken state. 1. Download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and the iOS 6.0 IPSW firmware file for the iPhone 4. Even though you are on iOS 6.0.1, Redsn0w requires the 6.0 IPSW for identification. 2. Open Redsn0w, click Extras, click Select IPSW, and select the iOS 6.0 firmware file you downloaded. 3. Back in the Extras menu, click Just Boot. 4. Follow the on-screen prompts to put your iPhone into DFU mode. Redsn0w will then apply the exploit and boot your device. Once the pineapple logo appears and the phone finishes booting, your jailbroken apps and Cydia will be functional again. You must repeat this process every time the device is powered off or rebooted.
