To type the Euro symbol (€) on a Mac using a standard US keyboard layout, press the Option, Shift, and 2 keys at the same time. If you are using a British keyboard layout, the shortcut is Option and 2. For many other European layouts, such as German or French, the shortcut is often Option and E.
