I heard that Apple included climate sensors in some HomePod models. Can I use my device to see the temperature or humidity in my room, and are there any limitations I should know about?

Yes. The HomePod mini and HomePod (2nd generation) have built-in temperature and humidity sensors, enabled in HomePod Software 16.3 or later. You can view the readings in the Home app or ask Siri for the temperature or humidity in a specific room.

How to check the temperature on HomePod:
1. Make sure your HomePod is running HomePod Software 16.3 or later.
2. Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
3. Tap Climate at the top of the Home tab to view a summary.
4. Alternatively, open the specific room where the HomePod is located.

Siri Commands
You can also ask Siri commands such as:

"Hey Siri, what is the temperature in here?"
"Hey Siri, what is the humidity in the basement?"

Accuracy and Calibration
The sensors are optimized for domestic settings, with ambient temperatures around 15°C to 30°C and relative humidity around 30% to 70%. Note that accuracy may decrease if audio is playing at high volume for extended periods, and the sensors require a calibration period after the device restarts.
