Lately my iPhone keyboard has been making terrible suggestions and changing words that I spelled correctly. It feels like the autocorrect is getting worse instead of better. How do I fix the keyboard so it stops making these mistakes?

If your iPhone autocorrect is making mistakes or changing words you intended to type, you can fix this by resetting your keyboard dictionary or using text replacement. Follow these steps:
1. Reset the Keyboard Dictionary
Resetting the dictionary clears learned words and predictive patterns that may be causing errors.
- Open Settings and tap General.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Transfer or Reset iPhone.
- Tap Reset.
- Select Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
- Enter your passcode and tap Reset Dictionary to confirm.
2. Toggle Auto-Correction
Sometimes toggling the feature off and on can refresh the system.
- Go to Settings, then General, then Keyboard.
- Turn Auto-Correction off.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Go back to Keyboard settings and turn Auto-Correction back on.
3. Use Text Replacement
If specific words are always corrected incorrectly, you can create a shortcut for them.
- Go to Settings, then General, then Keyboard.
- Tap Text Replacement.
- Tap the plus (+) icon.
- Type the word you want to keep in the Phrase field and leave Shortcut blank.
- Tap Save.
