I have an iPhone 3GS and it will not load up. It is stuck on the screen asking to be plugged into iTunes. The phone was jailbroken almost two years ago and the firmware version is 4.4.1. How can I fix this phone and get it to boot again?

If your iPhone 3GS is stuck on the Connect to iTunes screen, you should first try a hard reset by holding both the Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo appears. If the device returns to the recovery screen, connect it to your computer and perform a restore via iTunes. Because your device was jailbroken, you might encounter Error 1015 during the restore process. This is common if the iPad baseband was previously installed on the device. To bypass this, use a utility like iREB to exit the recovery loop. For the most stable results, put your iPhone into DFU mode and restore it to iOS 6.1.6, which is the final supported firmware version for the 3GS.

To resolve this issue, try these steps. 1. Perform a clean restore using iTunes. 2. If iTunes shows error 1015, use a utility like iREB to exit the recovery loop. 3. Once the restore is successful, you can jailbreak the device again if you wish.
