I updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS 6.1.1 and now I am stuck on the activation screen. I do not have the original SIM card and cannot access the home screen. How can I activate or bypass this screen?

If your iPhone 3GS is stuck on the activation screen after an update, it usually means the device is carrier-locked and requires a valid SIM card from the original service provider to proceed. The best solution is to contact the original carrier and request an official unlock, which is often granted for older devices. Once unlocked, you can activate the phone using any SIM card. If you cannot get an official unlock, you may be able to use a tool like redsn0w to jailbreak and hacktivate the device, which bypasses the activation screen. However, this requires downloading the appropriate iOS 6.0 IPSW file for your device to use as a reference in the software. Another option is to use a universal activation SIM card to trigger the activation process.
