First, its maybe already answered somewhere but I couldnt find an answer that is not so old plus I didnt quite understand it. So here is the thing last night I restored iphone to factory settings via DFU mode using redsnow and uploading custom 4.2.1 on it ant worked.
Now my sim is locked and there is no service.
I looked up a few tutorials but it looks complicated with all the numbers so I'd really like if somebody could explain step by step. Im a new iphone user.

Use Remote unlocking method to unlock your iPhone 3g from sim/carrier lock . You can get it from any of the online vendors like Mobileunlocksolutions.com to unlock it .

Jailbreak then apply the ultrasn0w package from Cydia to unlock. 06.15.00 is the iPad baseband which can be unlocked.
