I accidentally removed several system packages via Cydia on my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1 with the 06.15.00 iPad baseband. Now the home screen is blank and no icons are showing. I have tried re-jailbreaking with Redsn0w and GreenPois0n, but the issue persists and I cannot access any apps.

To resolve a blank home screen after removing essential Cydia packages on an iPhone 3GS, you usually need to perform a clean restore. Since you are using the 06.15.00 iPad baseband, a standard iTunes restore will likely fail with Error 1015. 1. Download the iOS 4.1 IPSW file for the iPhone 3GS. 2. Use a tool like Redsn0w to create a custom IPSW that preserves your baseband or use it to enter Pwned DFU mode. 3. Open iTunes and hold the Shift key on Windows or Option key on Mac while clicking Restore, then select your firmware file. 4. If you encounter Error 1015 at the end of the process, use the Fix Recovery feature in Redsn0w to exit the recovery loop. 5. Once the restore is complete, you can re-jailbreak and install UltraSn0w from Cydia if you need to unlock your device for other carriers.
