I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1 and would like to restore it or upgrade to iOS 6.1.2 without being forced to iOS 6.1.3, as I want to keep my jailbreak. I am receiving errors when trying to restore in recovery mode. Is it possible to install these specific firmware versions?

Restoring or upgrading to a specific iOS firmware version is generally only possible if Apple is still signing that version. Once a firmware version is no longer signed, iTunes will display an error during the restoration process. For legacy devices like the iPhone 4s, you can only install unsigned firmware if you have previously saved SHSH blobs for that specific version and use specialized tools like Redsn0w or iFaith. If you do not have those blobs saved, you are limited to the firmware versions currently being signed by Apple for your device.
