I have an iPhone 3GS that is stuck in recovery mode. I have tried using Redsn0w to jailbreak and attempted to install various iOS versions including 5.1.1 and 6.1.2. Although the loading bar appears and the process seems to complete, the phone always returns to recovery mode. I also tried TinyUmbrella but it did not work. Is there a way to resolve this if I do not have SHSH blobs saved?

To resolve a recovery mode loop on an iPhone 3GS, first try to force restart the device by holding the Home and Power buttons together until the Apple logo appears. If it returns to the recovery screen, connect it to a computer and use iTunes to perform a restore. If the standard restore fails, you may need to put the iPhone into DFU mode. Connect your device to the computer, hold the Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds, then release the Power button while continuing to hold the Home button until iTunes notifies you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. You can then attempt the restore again. If the issue persists across different firmware versions, it could indicate a hardware fault with the dock connector or battery.

Connect your iPhone to your computer and open TinyUmbrella. The program should recognize your device. Once it does, click the button labeled Exit Recovery. This will attempt to force the device to boot into its normal operating system.
