לחברת Apple עולה 187.51$ לייצר את האייפון 4

חברת סקרי השוק iSuppli העריכה שעלות הייצור של מכשיר האייפון 4 הוא כ-187.51$.
החלק היקר ביותר במכשיר הוא מסך ה-Retina שלו העולה 28.50$ וכנראה שיוצר ע"י LG Display, לפי חברת iSuppli. מעבד ה-A4 שתוכנן ב-Apple עצמה, יוצר ע"י Samsung Electronics ועולה כ-10.75$.
"במשך השנים, עלות ייצור האייפון נע בדר"כ בין 170$ ל-180$, כי ככל הנראה החברה מנסה להגיע לסכום תקרה מסויים בייצור המכשיר", אמר קווין קלר, שעזר לערוך את ההערכה מטעם חברת iSuppli.
בשנת 2009, חברת iSuppli העריכה שעלות ייצור מכשיר האייפון ה-3GS הוא כ-179$. עלויות אלה צנחו עם הזמן ל-134$.
