Apple has unveiled the official trailer for "Margo's Got Money Troubles," a new comedy-drama series starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman. The eight-episode series from A24 and creator David E. Kelley is set to premiere globally on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Based on the bestselling novel by Rufi Thorpe, the series follows Margo, played by Fanning. A recent college dropout and aspiring writer, she is suddenly navigating life with a new baby and a growing stack of bills. To make ends meet, she leans on her unconventional parents, an ex-Hooters waitress played by Pfeiffer and a former pro wrestler played by Nick Offerman.
The ensemble cast also features Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.
Kelley serves as the showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The project marks his latest collaboration with Apple following the legal thriller "Presumed Innocent," which is now in production on its second season. Fanning, Pfeiffer, and Kidman hold executive producer credits alongside Dakota Fanning and Thorpe. Dearbhla Walsh directed the pilot, with Kate Herron and Alice Seabright also taking on directing duties for the season.
The series will launch with its first three episodes, followed by one new installment every Wednesday through May 20. The series joins a crowded spring lineup for the platform, which was recently rebranded to simply Apple TV. It also aligns with the company's broader strategy to deliver new original content nearly every week throughout 2026.
