Apple released iOS 26.4.2 and iPadOS 26.4.2 today, delivering a minor point update for the iPhone and iPad. The software carries build number 23E261 and focuses primarily on underlying security and system stability.


Apple's release notes for the update are brief, indicating only that it provides important bug fixes and security patches. It arrives a few weeks after the company issued iOS 26.4.1 to handle lingering performance issues following the public launch of iOS 26.4 in late March.
