Bose is expanding its home audio lineup today with a new ecosystem of AirPlay-compatible hardware dubbed the Lifestyle Collection. The release includes a smart speaker, a Dolby Atmos soundbar, and a wireless subwoofer, all designed to work together across multiple rooms using Apple AirPlay and Google Cast.
The entry point is the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker. Priced at $299, it uses two front-facing drivers and one up-firing driver to bounce sound off ceilings and walls. Bose says its TrueSpatial processing helps create a wider, more immersive soundstage from a compact speaker. The device can be used on its own, paired in stereo, or added as rear surrounds in a larger home theater setup.
For the living room, Bose also unveiled the $1,099 Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar. The redesigned soundbar features six full-range drivers, a center tweeter, and support for Dolby Atmos playback. Bose says its SpeechClarity system uses AI-driven speech augmentation to make dialogue easier to hear, while TrueSpatial processing expands non-Dolby Atmos content into a more immersive presentation. The soundbar also calibrates audio performance using the microphone on an iPhone or Android device to analyze room acoustics and furniture placement.
If you want heavier bass, the $899 Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer rounds out Bose's broader 7.1.4 home theater configuration when paired with the soundbar and additional speakers. All three devices feature fabric grilles and curved glass accents in place of the traditional black-box design commonly found in home theater hardware. Bose has also updated its companion app with guided setup, secure Wi-Fi credential sharing, and expanded equalizer controls.
The standard Black and White Smoke models launch on May 15 and are available to pre-order today. Bose is also offering a limited Driftwood Sand version of the Ultra Speaker for $349, featuring a solid white oak base.
