An increasing number of customers are reporting that Apple is canceling their iPhone 4 pre-orders, according to a MacRumors forum post.
The customers are getting cancellation notices with very little explanation. Currently, users are speculating that AT&T could not complete authorization for the iPhone purchase. We would advise you to check your order status at www.apple.com/orderstatus

And oh yeah, mine shipped from Shenzhen, CN directly so it's fresh off the assembly line. Mmmmm... I love the smell of fresh iPhone in the morning :)
If an upgrade, an order from Apple should list your PRESENT plan in the order and state "Custom configuration". If not it MAY get canceled as they were unable to confirm with AT&T.
I ordered two separate iPhone 4 from Apple.com. Both orders were processed and got a confirmation Email. Order said it was ready to be delivered by the 24th. Now I received two emails one for each order saying the Order was cancelled and that I should contact the nearest Apple or ATT store to clarify this issue.. No I've sent confirmation emails to the nearest Apple store so I can get this resolved by the 24th. I "should" get a call from management... WTF!!
I ordered two iPhone 4 from AT&T withing half hour of each order. Both orders were processed the next day and I received an email about my second order that it was cancelled. I called AT&T and they oppologized for that and said that cancelation email was sent to some but the order is still active.
Both of my orders are showing "in progress"
I'm hoping to get it as soon as possible
I just checked at ATT wireless.net and it shows "IN PROGRESS" . The key shows that its still in the warehouse being process. Is it maybe those that ordered through APPLE's site versus AT&T?
Cause AT&T didn't cancel any preorders... Oh wait they sure did. They also pushed back delivery dates for many.
My apple order is prepared for shipment. Nice
