Apple has sent pre-order customers a letter informing them that their iPhone 4 will arrive on June 23rd. That date is one day earlier than the official launch date of June 24th.
Dear Apple Store Customer,
You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.
This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.
In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at http://www.apple.com/orderstatus
Sincerely,
The Apple Store Team
This is likely an error although the date is mentioned three times in the email.
What if you preordered through an AT&T Authorized Dealer (Spring Mobile) and AT&T still shows its sending a phone to my address? The phones I preordered are supposed to go to dealer and I pick them up from there. Plus I ordered two and it shows one is being shipped to my address. Could this be a mistake on AT&T's part and I'm getting one for free lol
My order status has only just changed to prepared for shipment. However, I do live in the UK. So I think I wont get it until release day. I'm very surprised Apple are letting people get their iPhone's early. Only 2 days until my unlocked iPhone 4 arrives! I can't wait.
Looks like I'll be getting mine tomorrow too, according to UPS's website.
Ordered it on AT&T's website at about 7 pm CST on the 15th. Processed the next morning.
I received that email too, saying it will arrive on the 23rd. Tracked my package on fedex and it says delivery for the 23rd as well. Also says the package is currently in Alaska.
