iPhone 18 Pro SIM Tray Leak Suggests No Black Option for Second Year [Image]

Longtime leaker Sonny Dickson shared the parts without comment in a post on X today, adding to earlier reports that Apple's upcoming Pro models could again ship without black.



The current iPhone 17 Pro lineup of Cosmic Orange, Silver, and Deep Blue was the first high-end iPhone generation to ship with no black or dark gray option. However, a claim from a Chinese leaker earlier this week predicted that black could return alongside Dark Cherry and Sky Blue.


Despite sharing dummy units in May that included a fourth Black finish, Dickson told MacRumors the three SIM card colors are the only ones he has come across in recent months.

Reports of another no-black lineup date back to April, when one report said the iPhone 18 Pro would drop black for a second year in a row.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled at Apple's September 9 event next week, alongside the company's first foldable iPhone, which employees call the iPhone Ultra.
