Sonny Dickson has shared new photos of iPhone 18 Pro dummy units, offering an early look at the colors rumored for Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
The images show four finishes: Black, Silver, Light Blue, and Dark Cherry. The appearance of the dark red finish on physical dummy units lends credibility to earlier rumors that identified Dark Cherry as this year's standout option. Dickson expects the shade to be a hit with buyers, noting how well the Cosmic Orange finish sold during the iPhone 17 cycle.
Rumors regarding the deep red shade have circulated since early this year, with Mark Gurman describing the color back in February. A report from Macworld also matched these four colors to specific Pantone codes, including Light Blue (Pantone 2121) and Dark Gray (Pantone 426C), the latter likely corresponding to the black finish shown in Dickson's images.
Accessory manufacturers routinely rely on these physical molds to finalize case dimensions ahead of Apple's fall hardware events. While dummy units provide a solid preview of the planned color palette, the materials used are generally lower quality than final production models. The actual tone and saturation of the glass and aluminum will likely vary slightly when the devices actually ship.
Dickson previously shared detailed iPhone 18 Pro dummy models that revealed other rumored hardware changes, including a slightly thicker chassis to accommodate upgraded internal components.
