Apple TV Announces Eighth Season of 'Slow Horses'

Apple TV has announced an eighth season of Slow Horses, with Gary Oldman returning as MI5 veteran Jackson Lamb. The six-episode season will adapt Clown Town, the ninth novel in Mick Herron's Slough House series.



Season eight will pit Lamb against MI5 deputy director general Diana Taverner in what Apple describes as their most explosive confrontation yet. After a failed attempt to blackmail the Park puts Taverner on the offensive, Lamb must uncover one of MI5's darkest secrets and bring the matter to an end.


Jay Hunt, creative director for International at Apple TV, said the show's distinctive approach to espionage has helped it connect with viewers around the world. "I'm delighted that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for an eighth season," Hunt said.

The first five seasons of Slow Horses are currently streaming on Apple TV. Season six premieres September 16, 2026, while a seventh season was announced last year.

See-Saw Films produces the series for Apple TV. Ben Vanstone is adapting and executive producing season eight, with Adam Randall returning as director. Other executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Douglas Urbanski, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, Billy Bowring, Helen Gregory, Herron, and Oldman.
