Apple TV Reveals First Look at 'The Wanted Man' Starring Hugh Laurie

Apple TV has released the first images from 'The Wanted Man,' an eight-episode crime drama starring Hugh Laurie as a crime boss trying to escape prison after a betrayal inside his organization. The series premieres on January 6, 2027.

Laurie plays Felix Carmichael, who is sent to Staplehurst prison after someone within his firm turns on him. With his family, business, and fortune at risk, Carmichael decides to break out.

The cast also includes Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan, and Stephen Dillane. George Kay, whose credits include 'Hijack' and 'Lupin,' created and wrote the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Laurie is also an executive producer.

New Pictures and Kay's Observatory Pictures co-produced 'The Wanted Man.' Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford are executive producers, David Meanti is series producer, and Jakob Verbruggen directs.

Apple TV will release the first two episodes on Wednesday, January 6, followed by one episode each Wednesday through February 17, 2027.
