Apple Debuts Trailer for Mackenzie Crook Comedy 'Small Prophets' [Video]

Apple TV has released a trailer for 'Small Prophets,' a six-episode comedy created, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook. The first two episodes arrive October 7, 2026, except in the U.K., where Apple says the series will be available in 2027.

Pearce Quigley plays Michael Sleep, a DIY-store worker whose loved one Clea disappeared seven years earlier. When his father Brian (Michael Palin) gives him a recipe involving rainwater, horse manure and alchemy, Michael tries to create homunculi, magical spirits said to predict the future, in the hope of learning whether he will see Clea again.

Michael's coworker Kacey (Lauren Patel) helps him, while their manager Gordon (Crook) and two curious neighbors, played by Sophie Willan and Jon Pointing, complicate matters. Paul Kaye also appears in the cast. The series was filmed and set around Manchester and mixes live action with animation.

New episodes will follow each Wednesday through November 4, 2026. Treasure Trove and Blue House Productions produced the series.
