I bet they cant break a 3G in an OtterBox, by dropping it .. maybe by driving over it..
My kid has a 3gs in an Otterbox, drops it often.. it bounces when it hits pavement.. no damage
bumpers are just scratch protectors
What is the point of this Video??? Are they trying to conclude that if you drop a device not meant to be dropped on to a hard surface it will be damaged, dudes give us a break. Here's a test take the dude in the video to the same to scale height (guessing about 60 foot), then drop him 3 times. Now thats a video worth watching, oh make sure he has a bumper on too.
any phone dropt once the righ way brakes, there is no question about that. did you ever drop a phone on purpose to the flor? try any phone several times and itll break, promise! And i recall a video on youtube where a reporter broke an unbrekable phone by mistake... And btw. its a great commercial for iFix it!
why I should drop my iphone? this is waht i don't understand about folks - if you buy a freakin expensive phone - use it with care. i have iphones for ages and never had a broken glass or something. if you are that kind of person who loves to drop things and can't look after your stuff properly by a freakin 20 quid nokia and forget about all problems!
The glass its so 'hard' that it has became very brittle which is by the cracks so easy but scratching it should be much harder. I do enjoy the picture they have to promote the glass where its being bent. Never will this glass in the iPhone be BENT never. Scratches yes, quick impacts with hard surfaces yes. They must have for got to test that, as well as reception when holding the phone, proximity sensor, the camera green spot, and glass adhesives. but o well. I bought one
dude if you drop iphone 3 times in a row .. you dont need an iphone youve got bigger problems than that in real life
ive had the original iphone , iphone 3g , 3gs and now iphone 4 .. and only in those long 3+ years the phone fell once ... only once! and nothing happened to it !

Three drops to shatter the "30 times harder than plastic" touch screen... and even with a bumper?1 That is what I would call "really industrial bad design". Sorry Jobs and Ives, but you FAIL!
they may fail at designing products in different aspects (like lack of certain basic functionality - like resistance to drops in this case), but no one cares, since they have great marketing machine :)
