Apple Retail has hinted to employees that something big will soon be introduced within its stores, according to AppleInsider.
The news was shared with employees via an internal news bulletin, according to people familiar with the matter. However, details were scarce outside of text that teased the unknown product or service would be innovative enough to make a 'big' impact.
According to those same people, the internal article text was supplemented by a collection of video clips that featured Apple Retail employees reciting phrases such as "It's coming!," and "It's going to be big!"
It is likely that whatever is coming is a change in how Apple operates its retail segment rather then a new product or service.
However, we'll let you know if we hear any additional details...

That was just one for the masses - glossy "mirror" is no good for pro users. The only pro option currently is the 30" and thats too big for most of us. Woul love to see 27 matte coming up with updated MacPro!

Maybe its getting rid of the stupid appointment system just to buy an apple product! itd be better to walk right in, pick the item you want then pay... you know... just like a shop!!!

I'm not surprised by this. it sounds like a marketing ploy to divert attention from their failing iPhone 4. Whatever it is they still need to take responsibility and fix that damn reception problem.

Maybe you just chose the wrong words, but "failing" definitely does not describe the iPhone 4. My local apple store hasn't had one available for walk in purchase since launch day. They are sold out almost everywhere even with all the antenna hype.
That being said, I believe they just changed their appointment system to allow for a ton more reservations for the genius bar. Geniuses then have to stay until Midnite to do all next day repairs.
