A video comparing the Windows 7 Hanvon tablet and the Apple iPad has been posted online by lordfingle.

Windows 7 Hanvon slate computer compared to iPad doing similar tasks. In this video we see some web browsing, video, email, calendar and google earth. (As well as a skateboarding chihuahua)

Lol, it's funny how Apple's entire world is reliant on the Apple fan club. It's like a cult. If they didn't have the app builders for their phone (and now iPad), they would have been bust by now. The iMac never really penetrated the market and is only really good for people who work with Graphics and Video. Other than that, it's only use is for those who only want to check out the web and email. I'm not much for the Apple products as I too hate to be restricted + the Mac OS is the worst OS for navigating and usability. I guess a second button on their mouse was too much to ask, even though this was not a new concept at the time. W7 is actually quite the OS, loads of power and capability (you'd agree if you never used Vista or at least forgot they ever did that!). Cheers

Guys, take you biases and put them in the drawer for a minute. Both these devices have their pros and cons. Comments about Windows being buggy is not a relevant comment as the comparison is not linear. Apple and Linux based systems are less buggy, this is true. the question is why? If Apple were to allow users to do what they want on OSX or IOS4, they would be in the same boat. It's the restrictions and limitations that keep the OS stable. Personally, I hate being told I can't do something with a device that I paid for and own. I have an iPhone4 and an iPad. I'm looking at the tablet and the new Android phone and I feel like I made a poor choice. It would be nice to have some of the Apple ppl that were sucked in to the lifestyle open their eyes and really look at something for what it is, not the logo. Air Jordans don't make you jump higher, no matter what you believe, a converse shoe does the same trick. I watched this hoping the iPad won hands down since I dropped nearly a grand on it. I can't say that I was convinced. And the first comment from David: "Apple must admire app developer. If no app then apple bankrupt again like previous." <-- Never a truer statement!

Apple hands down. I was apple fan before but now no more. My iphone 3gs is last. I wont buy apple product anymore. So many restriction no right even if i buy apple product. Many problem on iphone 4. Shame on u apple. I think nobody buy apple product & only they will open restriction i think but wat happening to ppl in the world. Apple must admire app developer. If no app then apple bankrupt again like previous.

Apple has always been quality over quantity with the iphone and ipad, the way you can use them is second to non, the problem is once all the sheen has gone you are left with a very restricted device. Its like a restaurant I go to and there moto is quality over quantity .. so yes I can go there, spend 30 quid and have a beautifully presented morsel of food in the middle of the plate that is a work of art but gone in one mouthful, or I can go to the fish and chip shop and get a bag of fish and chips for £3.50 .. but have a full satisfied belly .. after my experience with the iphone I will deffo be going for the fish and chips option in the future .. all iphone/ipad owners I am happy that you are satisfied with your devices, its just some of us want more .. and when we spend a premium we expect a premium service/device, not a restrictive service/device .... Apple need to own up, put out a press release saying they messed up the 3G with the ios4 and put out a fix or a separate firmware... but of course they wont because apple never do anything wrong

The only good thing about the Windows one, is exactly that, it's Windows, so you can install and do whatever you want as a normal PC.

Anyone know what the specs are on the Hanvon? If it has the power for play 1080i and has Wireless N then I can stream live HD TV from my HDhomerun to that thing, that would be fun to try. Was that a mini HDMI port next to the two USB ports? haha bet you could play star craft 1 on that thing

the problem here is not the ipad or the slate .. the problem is windows !!! no matter what version it is or what type it is .. phone , embedded , it is bound to crash sooner or later and make trivial tasks cumbersome.. so aslong as some thing is running any incarnation of windows.. its gonna be buggy and shitty and will crash ! so the ipad wins hands down.. mine has not given any problems since its launch and same with the iphone 4 .. and judging by the 95% users of ipad and iphones i think we are in the majority only a hand full of ppl have had any problems with with the idevices or the ios4 .. which is expected and if youre one of those who is having troubles with iphone , ipad .. shit happens !

Sorry Billy bob I read it. Wrong. Yea the new os has fd up the 3G. It did it to both my moms and brother. Real laggy but if you supercharge it it will fix that problem. Did u reset ur wifi? Sorry I'm just tired of hearing how shitty the bew phones are when I'm not having any problems

No Probs .. yea tried everything, even gone back to the old 3.1.3 and still have the problems ... ,most people are saying its the baseband, so hopefully apple will bring out a new fix in a future firmware .. and I hope soon .. its pretty useless to do most things without wifi .. 3g is just too slow and restrictive ...
