Marco Quatorze, Telcel's Director of Value Added Services in Mexico, says that Apple will release an iPhone 4 hardware update at the end of September to fix reception issues.
As of September 30 Telcel will be available in new devices that do not have the malfunction of the reception and explained that the company will have several options to make changes from one phone to another flawed not to take: "If the previous plan is over, you will need to hire a new change for iPhone 4. If, for example, already has one and take three months for payment, change the cell with a re-employment and takes into account the previous time, so instead of paying 24 months, only done in 21."
It's unclear whether there is any truth to this statement or whether the director is simply assuming the new hardware since Apple put an expiration of September 30th on its free bumper program.
Fudge you! (just kidding)
Seriously though
I have a case from day one, with no help, then replaced it with a rubber silicon cover. Guess what? same thing!
Then replaced the phone, then got the free case, the same problem persist
I'm sick of drop calls and low signal (I've had 3GS, with no problems what so ever!
be in our shoes, then judge!
now i have a Galaxy S! no problems what so ever
I have no problem at all with iphone 4. Drop call? No. Drop signal? No. So i'm happy with iphone 4. Using casing? Wth...i like my iphone naked.....hahahahahha.
I Totally agree. I have had a case from day 1...no change. I had to even buy the at&t microcell and my service STILL sucks. WOW. I have been looking at verizon phones, I have had the iphone from day 1, canceled my Verizon to come to at&t, its been a fun ride, but I think im done with the dropped calls and voicemails without any calls. I dont know how I will feel about andriod..luckily I have a iPad
Just dont know which phone to get the incredible droid 2 or droid x...I hate to do it, but I have no choice
damn don't know about you guys but i never had a problem once i have a case on. running t-mobile and no drop calls yet. yea no 3G but edge works just fine... i'd take 3G anyday though =].
I have a 3GS, it has been on Tmobile, and ATT. If I hold the phone the way the Apple video shows, in my left hand, I can make the signal drop 20db.. same as the iPhone 4..
I had dropped calls all the time with Tmobile in California, and dropped calls, no ring, no reception, all the time in New Mexico.. I do not use a case. My daughter has an Otterbox on her 3gs, I cannot make the signal drop as I can on my caseless 3gs.. iPhone 4's are the same.. thick case, no reception attenuation.. no case, handle with care, no left hand death grip..
Depends where you live who has coverage.. Tmobile is cheaper, but, Edge is all you get for internet..
Im waiting for the Verizon iPhone in January
