BoyGeniusReport sources are reporting that the CDMA iPhone 4 codenamed iPhone 3,2, is in the "AP" testing stage, and the iPhone 5 is in the "EVT" stage.

The "AP" stage is the last one before retail release; final hardware, almost final software. Interestingly, the site has been told that the device contains a SIM card slot.

BGR hypothesizes that:
● The iPhone 3,2 could be the mythical CDMA + GSM/HSPA device that would support Verizon, AT&T, and the other current worldwide iPhone 4 carriers frequencies.
● The iPhone 3,2 could be a CDMA-capable iPhone that houses a SIM card for global roaming capabilities
● The iPhone model 3,2 would simply be a slightly different design that doesn’t suffer from the same antenna attenuation as the current model

The source also revealed that the iPhone 5 is in the Engineering Verification Test. The "EVT" stage is before the "DVT" phase.

Verizon has multiple \"Hybrid\" phone, such as BlackBerry\'s, and this is a very realistic guess. Global roaming is a main concern of Verizon\'s.

as long as a sentence contains both Verizon and iPhone one should always be skeptical. That is until those words are uttered by steve jobs.
