The premise behind MoonNavis is that the player is actually training to operate a Lunar Lander while using a training simulator. After each landing run, the player's skills are assessed and scored on the basis of several parameters including the time required to complete a run, the quantity of fuel used, the final landing velocity and the drop altitude. MoonNavis is integrated with the OpenFeint Social Gaming Platform, so players can compete for position with other players worldwide.
"We're extremely pleased with MoonNavis and how well the visuals and game play turned out. The application sports a beautiful polished interface, which is astounding on the new Retina display devices., says Jeff Cairns, co-founder of Cityhues Digital Media Group. "We designed two separate modes of game play into MoonNavis, Run-Play mode, where users can compete for top point position and Level-Play mode, where users are presented with a series of challenges that must be completed in order to move up in rank and earn achievements, as well as, Feint points.
MoonNavis is now available for $1.99 in the U.S. and is priced accordingly in other regions. MoonNavis is available worldwide from the iTunes App Store in the Simulation Games category for iPhone and iPod touch
