Microsoft Releases Software to Sync Windows Phone 7 to Mac

Microsoft has released a beta of Windows Phone Connector for Mac, an application to sync your Windows Phone 7 device with your computer.

Windows Phone 7 Connector lets your syncronize your favorite music, videos, photos and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to your Windows Phone 7, so you can take your media with you wherever you go.

Apple will shut that down real quick, like they did with the blackberry or palm (one of those i think).

I think this is different actually. It doesn't appear to natively sync through iTunes. What palm did was fake the USB ID of the pre to look like an iPod/iPhone to iTunes. There was no software involved. I think this software just finds where your iTunes Music and iPhoto Library is and knows the structure of those directories to sync with them. You sync through the Windows Phone 7 Connector software. Since Apple doesn't have control over software accessing the files on your computer, they won't be able to do anything about it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
