iPad 2 Ad Already Filmed Last Month?

An ad for the upcoming iPad 2 may have already been filmed by David Sims in New York last month, according to a 9to5Mac report. Pier 59 was reportedly the location of the shoot.

The iPads used in the shoot were all current generation models which will be swapped out with the new ones in post production. One of the participants told us that even though there weren’t any new products on the scene, everyone had to sign non-disclosure documents and security was tight (Apple’s MO and whoops!).


Unless Apple is planning a surprise release of the iPad 2, this seems a bit early to be filming a commercial for the device's expected April release.
