Apple has begun its back to school promotion to encourage students to purchase a Mac. Offering a free iPod touch makes this year's promotion one of the most ambitious ever.


All stock and custom-ordered Macs are eligible except for the institution-only 17-inch iMac and all Mac minis. Regular educational discounts remain in effect.
