iOS 4.2 Delayed Due to Serious Wi-Fi Problem?

Apple may have delayed the release of iOS 4.2 until November 16th due to a serious Wi-Fi issue.

MacStories has heard from a reliable source who confirms the last-minute problem.

Wifi issues came up with the GM build Apple released on November 1st. From what we're hearing, Apple may release a second GM build as early as tomorrow to deal with WiFi issues. This will delay the release for at least a week while it is tested, but may not get public release until the following week as it appears Apple will be testing it vigorously. iOS 4.2 should, however, come out before Thanksgiving.

iPhoneHellas, who has been accurate in their previous predictions, says the firmware will be released on November 16th.

Just changed the router and the iPad worked like charm. So it's absolutely a router-related issue.

4.2 is being held up because some knobhead has a dodgy router, my 12 year old son can tell it's a router problem. Myself and my friend have been trying the 4.2 gm for the past week and the wifi is spot on!

Looks to me more like a router issue. I have had 4.2 GM ever since it was released on both iPhone 4 and iPad and no problems whatsoever.

Whats up Apple and Wifi? Would imagine they can afford to invest in couple of wifi-gurus... I remember constant on-off problems with Wifi on both macs and iOS devices. Please Apple, would it be about the time to hack that Wifi? Im sure its not rocket science, since PC guys been happy with it for decade.
