The Glif iPhone 4 tripod mount and stand is now available to order.

The Glif is a simple iPhone 4 accessory with two primary functions: mounting your iPhone onto a tripod and propping up your iPhone at various angles. The Glif is made from recyclable rubberized plastic that feels great and plays nice with your phone, and is small enough to fit snugly in your pocket, purse, or backpack. It has a 1/4"-20 thread that fits any standard tripod or camera mount. The Glif is designed to work with a "naked" (caseless) iPhone 4, to ensure a snug fit.

Tom Gerhardt and Dan Provost used Kickstarter to launch the project back in October. The duo raised $137,000 to begin production.

If you order now, shipping will begin in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully deliveries will occur in time for the holiday season.

The glif is nice but does have its drawbacks. My company, PC Treasures, makes a product called the GrippIt! that I think gives the glif a run for its money. Not only does it cost ten dollars less, but, unlike the glif, it works with any phone and lets you leave your phone in its case when using it. Check it out here: http://www.digitaltreasures.com/camera_acc_details.php?recordID=07471

Yeah does anyone actually use thier iphone caseless? I can take it off and use that if I erally need to mount it to a tripod which isn't too often, but I am not taking the case on and off 50 times a day and stretching it out to use for the other described purposes. This would have been handier with the previous iPhone generations as I never used a case until the iPhone 4 came out with its antenna issues. Now I won't go back to using it without one.

Japan had it first, now China has it. (Yes, technically Taiwan is not a country because China claims ownership of it)
